Island of Paradise

Being stationed on an island where you can’t go and explore the country is like being stationed on a stationary ship. There’s really not much to do and it's easy to feel alone and depressed. Sometimes you tend to feel alone even when you’re surrounded by others. You have to lean on the people you work with even when you don’t want to and want to hide the fact that you’re struggling. The longer you're here the more you make the most of it. You have to get creative on things to do. Some people do school, pick up a new hobby, experience water activities like diving, fishing, snorkeling, focus on getting into shape etc... On the bright side you get to meet and work with a lot of amazing people you can call family.  At the end of the day they are all that you have, especially on the bad days.
